Our Wedding

Paper

Invitations

Picture
I really wanted to order invitations, seriously. However, when I started rattling off numbers to Matt he about had a heart attack. He just couldn't wrap his head around the amount for pieces of paper that would be thrown out. He agreed to making the invites if I would pick out the set.

We were going to do the DIY Michael's invitations, but Matt was leary of printing these on our printer. Instead, we ended up designing and printing our invitations and RSVPs.

I ended up ordering thicker cardstock from paperandmore.com. It is a bronze 105# and just slightly nicer than what came with the kit. I'm going to end up using it for my direction and accommodation cards too.

Accomodations Card

Picture
I really like making invitations and designs for this wedding. I have made up a couple ideas, but I think I am going to be using this design. I am going to have these printed and will be matting them on the brown cardstock.

If you're interested the script font is PF ChampionScriptPro and print font is Poor Richard.

Bar Menu

Picture
The bar menu is modeled after the accommodations card, using the same image.

We're only serving beer, wine and a signature cocktail. The drink is actually a modified Storm of the Century Hurricane, that was a hit at our Mardi Gras party. The name is sort of an inside joke, but Matt is insisting on it.

Rehearsal Dinner - Welcome Lunch

Picture
Originally, we were going to have a fiesta rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. We were going to hold it in my mom's condo clubhouse. After a while, it just seemed like it was going to be more effort than it was worth, so Matt and I started brainstorming up places to hold it, that would be inexpensive for our approximately $300 budget. We were considering a local deli and then it hit us that our favorite pizza place had recently moved to a larger building with an outside deck. We are actually  making it a lunch, since our bridal party is all from out of town and will be coming in the Wednesday and Thursday before.

Even though our rehearsal is so informal, I really wanted to make an invite. It's silly, but I don't care. I am just putting these in with the wedding invitations though.

I bought this cardstock when we were planning the Mexican fiesta rehearsal, but plan on using it for backing the rehearsal invitation. Bought from paperandmore also.

Programs

Picture
I wasn't planning on doing programs, but apparently I just wanted to spend money on them. I know my mom is pretty happy we're having them, so I consider it money well spent. We bought Champagne Metallic Paper 80# from paperandmore.com. We are just self designing them, printing them out on a laser printer (bubblejet DOES smear), and folding. Done and done.

Matt designed this. I think it is slightly over the top, but he likes it. So I'm ok. He really, really likes this font.

Lawn Sign

Picture
I know this is pretty insane, but the two weddings we went to this year, both had a welcome sign with the couple's names and wedding date on it. I wanted one and ended up order it off of Vistaprint for free (paying for shipping). I have been rather happy with everything from Vistaprint, so I am not expecting anything wrong with this either.

Car Magnet

Picture
While I was busy ordering the lawn sign, I ordered this car magnet. A little classier than the typical 80's JUST MARRIED signs in the party store wedding aisle.

Free business cards. They didn't add much to shipping and were free. I am planning on punching a hole through them and using them as little "thank yous" on the favors.
